It is a wedding tradition in some places to consider the bride and groom to be the queen and king of the festivities and the guests are encouraged to entertain the king and queen. As expected, we are taking this tradition as an excuse to put on a show! Actually, we're putting on a cabaret...

cab·a·ret (kb-r)

NOUN: 1. A performance that happens on the floor between the tables during dinner 2. a show in a place where you can eat or drink 3. a place where you can eat, drink, and dance.

...and we would like to invite YOU to be part of the show.

Come, join the cabaret!

Maybe there is a poem you would like to share with us. Or maybe you want to take advantage of this opportunity to play your banjo in front of a very appreciative crowd. Or maybe you know that we would love for you to dance for us. Or maybe you have been dying to debut that new work of performance art.. Whatever you are thinking of doing, we would be honored for you to be active participants in our celebration.

Our cabaret will begin half way through dinner, and will end with plenty of time for everyone to enjoy the band. Please note: This is not a formal production. You can literally get up from your seat at dinner to perform your act, and then go back to your dinner. If you really want to change into a costume or you need to warm up somewhere, there will be a place set up for you to do so.

If you will be performing to music, you can bring a CD or a minidisc. If you want live music, send us a recording (or the score, if possible) and we'll take our band up on their offer to play during the cabaret to support your act. We recruited the band from a world-famous cabaret in San Francisco, and they are itching to back you up with drum rolls or the perfect soundtrack to your skit.

Email us at cabaret@amarillasroth.com or call us at 650.854.4964
to let us know that you want to sign up for the show!

There is no official "deadline," but the sooner we know, the better for our planning. If you don't want to tell us exactly what you are doing, that's fine. Just give us an idea of what you might need in terms of technical assistance, and we'll look forward to receiving your gift of entertainment!
